Bill, owner: Our Bay Area home remodeling and custom homebuilding company began with Bill. After attending business school, he followed his father's footsteps with a 4-year carpentry training to become a Journeyman Carpenter. For several years as a carpenter and foreman, he built luxury hillside homes. In 1987, Bill obtained his contractor's license and started his own company with a fine team of construction professionals. Bill enjoys being a dad which has led to new hobbies such as O-scale trains. Max, carpenter: Fascinated by construction as a boy, Max’s dream came true when he became an apprentice carpenter right after high school graduation in Oregon. In 1984, he moved to the Bay Area to pursue a career in framing with his two older brothers. By 1990, he was working with Bill on the construction of a luxury custom estate home in Atherton. He has since added fine finish carpentry to his list of formidable skills. Our long-time clients frequently ask whether Max is still working for the company and we’re always delighted to say yes! His wife Gerogienna joins him at the end of projects for final clean up. Max has two daughters and enjoys organic gardening and the great outdoors with his home-built canoe. luxury home builder Zack, project manager and carpenter: Zack grew up in bustling Miami, Florida and ventured north to a small town in New York to attend high school. With a passion for creating beautiful things, Zack obtained a degree in fine arts and applied his talents to all phases of home construction, working for his father-in-law’s remodeling company. Better weather and more work led Zack to the Bay Area, where he joined our team in 2005. Further honing his artistic skills, Zack now focuses on fine finish carpentry, fine cabinetmaking, and cabinet installation. Zack enjoys sailing and organic gardening with his wife and three children.
bay area remodeling contractor Bob, carpenter: Bob, a Bay Area native, developed a love for building things with his father. As a boy, surrounded by homes under construction in growing Silicon Valley, Bob built forts in the remaining fields.These experiences inspired him to select the carpentry profession after high school graduation. Recognized for his leadership skills and technical know-how, he trained crews of Journeymen carpenters for housing developments. He also worked on commercial projects where he honed his skills in keeping projects on schedule and under budget. Bob is married with three adult children and is a toy train enthusiast. Bay Area Custom Contractor John, carpenter and project manager: John is originally from Long Island, New York. While he was going to college for business and accounting, he visited California to go to his cousin's wedding, and never went back! John became a framing carpenter and over the years, became proficient in all phases of home construction and remodelig. John keeps fit by doing yoga. His wife is an artist and they have an adult son.
James: is a fine finish carpenter. He is also a woodturner and furniture builder. He rarely needs a ladder as he stands 6'9"! James is originally from Texas and cooks fantastic chilli. His talent and interest in languages brought him to the Defense Language Institute in Monterey. James and his wife were married at San Francisco's iconic City Hall. She is a post-doc at Stanford in Biochemistry. Rhoda, CFO: Following a B.S. in Mathematics/Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, Rhoda worked at several Silicon Valley high tech companies. She manages payroll, taxes, insurance, and benefits. She loves working on the company website and helping others with their websites and search engine optimization. Her favorite role is "professional parent."

Rest In Peace - 2-22-17: Jim, project manager and cabinetry specialist: Jim is almost a Bay Area native, having moved here at age 12. Bill and Jim began their professional relationship over 20 years ago when Bill commissioned custom cabinets from Jim’s cabinetry shop. Jim expanded his knowledge into home construction by earning a contractor's license, building foundations, and framing homes. He also worked as a project manager for Bay Area luxury home builders. His talents are now fully realized as he provides exclusive cabinetry solutions and manages interior finishes for Bill Fry Construction. Every year, Jim enjoys leading teams of local students to build homes for needy families.
