This Bay Area home addition and remodel in Los Gatos maximizes usable living space on a small lot by extending the original footprint of the garage. This new living area with an outdoor shower is called the "pool cabana." This light-filled Bay Area guest house design on the edge of a narrow lot is also a pool house, family room (with home theater wall-mounted TV installation and in-ceiling speakers), playroom, cozy refuge for the parents, or in-law unit. This Los Gatos remodel offers fine amenities: separate entrance, wet bar, steam shower, and radiant floor heating system. The custom wet bar cabinet with floating shelves and family room built-in wall unit are made of white oak. An outdoor chess set pattern is integrated into the paver stone design on the paved driveway.
