Here is the old kitchen
The new kitchen has the same footprint and layout

Finishing of the new pantry is underway and walls are protected.

The ambient lighting in the old kitchen was provided by a fluorescent light box.
The ceilings were raised and engergy-efficient can lighting was installed.
The cabinets are ready for installation.
When I take pictues, often our son is along for the ride.

The existing oak flooring is protected.
Structural steel is inserted into the plywood countertop to hold the granite countertop. This eliminates the need for external supports.
Cabinets are being finished and walls are protected.
The drawers, doors, and shelves are sent to the shop for finishing
The self-closing drawer glides are being installed.
Srew it in.
Remove dust to ensure smooth operation.
Test the drawers
and here is how it looks when it is all done.
This is the old kitchen, the quartersawn oak flooring was also refinished.
The granite is in and the cabinet is ready for the cooktop.
