Mid-Century Modern
Home Remodeling
This Los Gatos mid-century modern home has been expanded and remodeled while retaining its original California modern style designed by George Wright, follower of Frank Lloyd Wright architect.This modernist home, with its flat overhangs, forms a sweeping crescent around a swimming pool that has a Feeney architectural metal cable railing fence system. The kitchen design features a circular island that highlights the round skylight and curved floor plan. The bathroom remodel has a modern stainless steel round vessel bowl sink, and a horizontal tile design that supports the horizontal lines of this CA modern home.
The material selections for this Bay Area mid-century home remodeling project emphasize the modern aesthetic through: concrete floors (with radiant heat), copper fascia, Ipe rain screen wood siding, and Blomberg Window Systems. See also our Bay Area Eichler Renovation. Photography: Claudio Santini;
