Palo Alto Custom Home

Rather than building a new custom home, the homeowners of this traditional Palo Alto home chose to restore, renovate, and upgrade their existing home. Palo Alto custom home builder and remodeling contractor Bill Fry and his design-build partner Lori Churi, enjoyed the challenge.

The traditional beaded inset custom cabinetry is made of cherry wood and new crown and baseboard moulding create a luxurious cohesive look throughout the home. Notice that the office desk also matches the office shelving. As walls were removed to open up the kitchen and family room, we were able to spare the original oak hardwood flooring, weave in new boards where needed, and make the hardwood flooring appear like new. All new hardwood flooring replaced carpeting upstairs. The marble bathrooms feature marble mosaic wainscot and polished nickel plumbing fixtures. New fireplace surrounds and mantels were crafted to match existing wall paneling. A closet was converted into a conditioned wine storage room. Photography: Kirsten Paulin
